My name is Adee—
I'm so happy you're here!

I am a storyteller, intimacy-seeker, adventure-loving, and emotion-craving photographer, who is passionate about capturing the intimate, authentic, and warm moments and emotions between people. I believe in documenting moments that will last a LIFETIME.

I have always wanted to work with people. I used to think that I would be a therapist, a social worker, or a teacher. I wanted a job that required having a connection with the people I worked with, because I’m the type of person who likes to form relationships with people.

After I moved to the U.S. when I was 21, I started finding myself and I discovered that I don’t need to work in a job that requires taking care of people (I used to think that taking care of people was the only thing I was good at and was meant to do). But I was still searching for a job that involved connecting with people. Photography is something that I’ve always been drawn to. It has always amazed me that a camera is able to freeze a moment forever, and that by looking at that moment you’re able to see a whole story.
I fell even more in love with photography once I bought my first camera, and I knew instantly that that was what I wanted to do. I love being able to capture important moments in people’s lives for them to have forever. I love portraying people’s true selves and connection with others. I love catching the in-between-moments that are so authentic and real. I love showcasing what I see through the lens.

I am based in Chicago but I am ALWAYS down to travel!!

MY LOVE STORY

MacKenzie and I met on Bumble in Fall of 2017, when we were 25 and 22 years old (respectively). From that moment on, we didn’t stop texting, and a week later, we finally went on a date. We both fell in love pretty quickly, and decided to make things official 3 weeks after our first date (lesbians am I right?).

how we met

Late in the winter of 2020, MacKenzie surprised me by taking us to a cabin on a river in Wisconsin. I thought something was up, but I wasn't sure... On New Year's Eve, we went on a hike at Devil's Lake, and MacKenzie told me to bring my camera. I had been talking for months about how I wished we would do a "cute winter photoshoot". After the snowy but beautiful hike, I set up my tripod and camera timer, and MacKenzie surprised me by getting down on one knee just in time for a photo. MacKenzie was so cold and nervous that she opened the ring box backwards, towards herself, but I said yes anyway :)

THE PROPOSAL

MacKenzie and I got married on March 18, 2022 at The Haight in Elgin, IL. We were surrounded by our friends and family who traveled from all around the U.S., and from out of the country, to celebrate our special day!
We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect celebration full of so much love and happiness!
